I started my business to make money, quickly learned that you have to HAVE money to make a business.
I was very aware early on that my business was not making money, and I was not willing to spend a lot on a business that wasn't making revenue.
Having more free time than money available, I spent all my time consuming free content. It allowed my business startup fees to be very low.
While my business has changed, my determination to keep costs low to run my business has not. It has served me well, to help me KEEP more money than I spend in business.
In 2019, I got my dream job and allowed me to work from home most days.
I loved spending time with my kid, who for the majority of his life I was a single mom. So I decided to become my own boss.
It didn't work out right away but thanks to Covid, I was able to relaunch my business more focused as a VA. After my short marriage ended I decided to focus on helping other women realize the dream of work-life balance of being an entrepreneur.

Three years ago I had to choose, like so many of us. Career, or family.
Covid had shut the schools down, my husband was an essential worker, and here I was wondering what my business could look like with 6 children at home while being solely present to support them.
Spoiler…It would not look the same, it.couldn't look the same. My business felt like stolen moments, part-time effort, and part-time results or it felt all-encompassing and with an unsustainable schedule. It felt like I needed to always choose and I NEEDED support for a taboo subject. There was no way I could imagine success with this kind of mental drain.
A SHI(f)T in how I viewed my business but more importantly how I allowed my business to interact with my life was the only way I could find success. In that Rose Gold Consulting was born. Together, we build the strategy needed to grow sustainable businesses without sacrifice and regret.
